PSYCHOLOGICAL THERAPY
what it involves
Every therapist will have their own style and unique way of connecting with clients, shaped by their training, personality, and theoretical approach. My style is rooted in an understanding that our early experiences and relationships shape who we are and how we relate to the world. Together, we’ll reflect on how your past informs your present, helping you gain deeper self-awareness and develop new ways of approaching challenges and relationships. This process looks different for everyone, and developing a personalised roadmap is one of the first things we will focus on in our work together.
My practice is influenced by a number of well-researched therapy models, each offering valuable tools and insights from which we intergrate the parts best suited to your care. It’s like crafting a recipe… blending the right ingredients at the right time to meet your specific needs.
Therapy models that I use regularly include:
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Relational/Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
Schema Therapy
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
